Roller Shutter Doors Rooihuiskraal

Gauteng

Suburbs we cover here: The Reeds, Rooihuiskraal North, Wierdapark, Eldoraigne

Rooihuiskraal is classic Centurion family housing from the 1990s: double garages, decent stands, and doors that went in with the house and have now been opened and closed twice a day for thirty years.

What we see in Rooihuiskraal

The doors here are not old by Boksburg standards but they were builder-grade to begin with, and that is the honest reason they are failing now. A developer specifying two hundred houses buys the cheapest compliant door, which means light slat, basic springs and a motor sized to the letter of the requirement. Fifteen to twenty-five years is exactly what that buys. Nothing has gone wrong; the door has simply finished.

That makes the replacement decision easier than people expect. Because the opening is a standard developer size and generally still true, we can usually build a heavier curtain into the existing guides if they are sound, or replace the lot and get you a door that will outlast the first one comfortably. We will tell you which of those you are looking at at the survey.

Getting on site in Rooihuiskraal

Access across residential Centurion is easy — proper driveways, room to work, sound brickwork. The survey covers the reveal at three heights and the floor level across the opening, because even thirty-year-old stock settles enough to matter. Where the door is going to be automated we measure the headroom at the same visit.

Motors, backup and load shedding

Nearly every replacement here is automated, and the motor is where the original installation most often cut its corner. We size to the measured weight of the curtain rather than to the width of the door, which is what stops it running hot on an opening that has gained friction over thirty years. Battery backup is fitted as standard and the manual release goes where you can reach it.

Repairs on any make

We repair any make. Across residential Centurion it is overwhelmingly springs, bearings and motors that were undersized when the developer fitted them. We carry the common sizes on the vehicle so most are finished on the first visit. When a curtain is genuinely finished we say so plainly, and when it only needs springs we say that too.

What it costs

We quote from a measured survey and the survey is free anywhere in Centurion. What moves the price is the size of the opening, the slat gauge the job actually needs, whether it is motorised, the bracing a wide span calls for, and whether the reveal needs making good before a door can be fixed to it. We itemise those rather than handing you one number, so you can see what you are paying for and take out anything you do not want. A rough width and height over the phone is enough for a ballpark; we confirm it on site before anything is built.

How soon we can be there

Breakdowns in Rooihuiskraal are attended same-day wherever we can reach you, and our teams work Centurion every day. A door that will not close is treated as urgent. For new work the survey is normally within a day or two of your call, manufacture takes a few working days because every curtain is built to your measurements at our own works, and installation is a morning for a single and most of a day for a double with automation.

Getting a quote in Rooihuiskraal

Send us the opening width and height — and on older stock, the width at the top and at the bottom if you can get both — along with a photo of the opening from a few metres back. If you are in a complex or an estate, say so and we will work to the approved specification from the start. From there we book the free measured survey in Rooihuiskraal, confirm the sizes ourselves, and put a fixed price in writing. Nothing is built until you have agreed that price.
